How Biblical Vault handles account information.
This notice explains the account and membership information used to provide the Biblical Vault reading and study library.
Information collected
When you create a free reader account, Biblical Vault collects your name, username, email address, country, password hash, and your optional consent preference for library news and membership updates. A password is stored only as a secure password hash.
When you purchase or manage a paid membership, Stripe processes your payment and collects the payment information needed to provide its payment service. Biblical Vault receives and stores the contact details Stripe returns for the membership, including name, email address, phone number, and billing country, together with Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, membership tier, subscription status, and renewal information. Biblical Vault does not store card numbers or full payment details.
Why information is used
Account information is used to authenticate readers, provide appropriate library access, maintain private study notes, communicate about an account or subscription, prevent misuse, and maintain administration records. Email marketing is sent only to readers who have actively selected the email opt-in checkbox. You may unsubscribe from those emails at any time.
Private study notes
Study notes are associated with the signed-in account and are intended to be visible only to that reader and authorised site administrators where necessary to maintain the service. Do not place highly sensitive personal information in a study note.
Payment providers
Payments and subscription management are provided by Stripe. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy terms. Biblical Vault uses Stripe webhooks to keep membership access and contact details current.
Retention and contact
Account and subscription records are kept for as long as needed to operate the service, meet accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law. To request account assistance or ask a privacy question, contact admin@biblicalvault.com.
